Gratitude
An emotion that arises from recognizing something valuable.
Why do I feel this way?
Gratitude arises when your mind and body recognize something valuable, often in small or surprising moments.
It's your mind's way of noticing what is working, what is beautiful or what still supports you even in difficulty.
How to change or channel it
- Name something specific you are grateful for today.
- Pause physically: Close your eyes, place your hand over your heart and take a slow breath.
- Express it: Send a thank you text, write it down or say it out loud.
- Link it to a habit by pairing gratitude with a daily routine like drinking water or leaving the house.

Living with this feeling

Jordan notices gratitude during a quiet moment that creates room to notice what is present. Instead of judging the feeling or forcing it away, Jordan names what is present and chooses one supportive practice: name something specific you are grateful for today.. The feeling may still be there, but it is no longer the only voice directing the moment. Jordan has created enough space to choose what comes next with greater care.
“I can acknowledge gratitude without letting it define every part of me. I can listen to what it may be showing me and choose one caring next step.”
What might gratitude be asking me to notice, protect, accept, express, or change today?
