Restlessness
An emotion that arises from the unmet need for growth or movement.
Why do I feel this way?
Restlessness bubbles up when your energy outgrows your current situation.
It's a call for action, change, learning or deeper engagement.
Restlessness says: "You're ready for more."
How to change or channel it
- Move: Take a walk, reorganize a space or start a new project.
- Explore what your mind is craving: Challenge, connection, novelty?
- Make small shifts instead of abandoning everything.
- Listen carefully as restlessness can guide your next evolution.

Living with this feeling
Original Lantern Project guidance inspired by this topic. This section is not copied from the source book.
Sam notices restlessness when several demands begin competing for attention. Instead of judging the feeling or forcing it away, Sam names what is present and chooses one supportive practice: move: Take a walk, reorganize a space or start a new project.. The feeling may still be there, but it is no longer the only voice directing the moment. Sam has created enough space to choose what comes next with greater care.
“I can acknowledge restlessness without letting it define every part of me. I can listen to what it may be showing me and choose one caring next step.”
What might restlessness be asking me to notice, protect, accept, express, or change today?
