Sadness

An emotion that arises from perceived loss or disconnection.

Why do I feel this way?

Sadness naturally arises when something valued (a dream, a relationship, a vision) changes or disappears.

It is a sign that you cared enough for something to miss it.

Sadness is an honoring of what mattered.

How to change or channel it

  1. Let yourself grieve openly and without rushing.
  2. Move gently, sadness often shifts through slow, kind motion.
  3. Create space for meaning through journaling, art, or reflection.
  4. Remind yourself that sadness doesn't erase future hope.

Living with this feeling

A moment in real life

Jordan notices sadness while moving through a difficult week. Instead of judging the feeling or forcing it away, Jordan names what is present and chooses one supportive practice: let yourself grieve openly and without rushing.. The feeling may still be there, but it is no longer the only voice directing the moment. Jordan has created enough space to choose what comes next with greater care.

An affirmation to carry
I can acknowledge sadness without letting it define every part of me. I can listen to what it may be showing me and choose one caring next step.
Pause and reflect
