Awe

An emotion that arises from witnessing something vast, beautiful or humbling.

Why do I feel this way?

Awe floods you when you encounter something bigger than yourself (a sunset, a great idea or an act of kindness).

It resets your sense of place in the world.

Awe expands your perspective and brings a humbling sense of connection.

How to change or channel it

  1. Seek moments of wonder in nature, art, stories or people.
  2. Pause fully in those moments, don't rush past them.
  3. Let awe humble you, but also lift you. It's a reminder you're part of something vast.
  4. Record small awe moments each week to keep perspective alive.

Living with this feeling

A moment in real life

Cameron notices awe during a quiet moment that creates room to notice what is present. Instead of judging the feeling or forcing it away, Cameron names what is present and chooses one supportive practice: seek moments of wonder in nature, art, stories or people.. The feeling may still be there, but it is no longer the only voice directing the moment. Cameron has created enough space to choose what comes next with greater care.

An affirmation to carry
I can acknowledge awe without letting it define every part of me. I can listen to what it may be showing me and choose one caring next step.
Pause and reflect

What might awe be asking me to notice, protect, accept, express, or change today?
