Generosity
An emotion that arises from freely offering time, energy, or resources.
Why do I feel this way?
Generosity flows when abundance (emotional, physical, or spiritual) spills outward into giving.
It reflects belief in connection over scarcity and contribution over self protection.
How to change or channel it
- Give thoughtfully, not to be seen but to share sincerely.
- Balance generosity with self care. Be sure to give from overflow, not from depletion.
- Celebrate the act of giving itself without expectation of return.
- Allow generosity to strengthen, not drain your inner well.

Living with this feeling
Original Lantern Project guidance inspired by this topic. This section is not copied from the source book.
Jordan notices generosity after an experience that is difficult to put into words. Instead of judging the feeling or forcing it away, Jordan names what is present and chooses one supportive practice: give thoughtfully, not to be seen but to share sincerely.. The feeling may still be there, but it is no longer the only voice directing the moment. Jordan has created enough space to choose what comes next with greater care.
“I can acknowledge generosity without letting it define every part of me. I can listen to what it may be showing me and choose one caring next step.”
What might generosity be asking me to notice, protect, accept, express, or change today?
Where it can lead
